First of all, I would like to wish all my LGBT+ friends and family a Happy Pride 2017! Never be ashamed of who you are and remember spread the love everywhere you go! 🙂
As the title says, I am very new to the Twitch streaming world. It’s not like I don’t use Twitch at all: I follow a lot of streams from people such as Dodger, Jesse Cox, and Crendor, but I’ve never streamed myself playing a game before. What drew me into streaming was the ability to share my love for games and gaming to others, and to highlight games that usually aren’t really in the spotlight. This is why I’ve decided to focus a lot on indie games, but I will occasionally stream the bigger games or MMOs.
I think the hardest part of starting a Twitch stream is figuring out when to stream and making a consistent schedule. Since I am a student, my schedule fluctuates a lot per week. Since I also have a job besides going to school, my schedule can get hectic sometimes. It is summer right now, so I have a lot of free time, but I need to think further down the line in order to make this work.
Right now I’m thinking of streaming myself playing either Undertale or Crypt of the Necrodancer, both really good games that I have yet to touch. I was originally going to stream Kentucky Route Zero, but the game is too slow paced for a stream in my opinion.
